Day: April 20, 2016 Time: 2:00 PM
On April 20, 2016 I will be teaming up with CompositesWorld to do something new. We will be hosting a 1-hr webinar, “10-year Global Aerospace Markets for CFRP and Advanced Composites.” This program, staring at 2pm EST (see for more details: http://www.compositesworld.com/events/details/b21c6424-4244-4d02-9013-8fcf6c3f7f88), will detail the markets and demand for advanced composites over the next ten years with the production of aircraft and aircraft systems. Attendees will receive a comprehensive analysis of the aerostructures market for composite aerospace components. Included in with the webinar package are a downloadable copy of the presentation material and an opportunity do Q&A session with me.
The market for composite aerostructures has been a story of measured replacement of traditional metallic aircraft structures and components. Composite components were fairly limited in scope and market during the early 1980s. Thirty-five years later, low-density composite components make up about 17% of total delivered airframe materials, by weight. This program details how the 400+ active aircraft programs around the world will nearly double the demand for composite components, raw materials, and services by 2025. This outlook covers how demand requirements among 9 different aerospace markets will impact the OEM and Tier Supply Chain and aerospace industry.
